Outdoor learning
The outdoor classroom can be used to bring learning alive for many children and we aim, where possible, to use our spacious grounds, outdoor learning areas and local community resources to inspire and stimulate our children. Our pupils enjoy taking their learning outside in practical everyday situations.
Evidence suggests that outdoor learning can boost children’s welfare and their performance at school. Research suggests that spending time interacting with nature can reduce stress among young people, boost their creativity and problem-solving skills and increase their motivation towards learning. It also has a positive impact on young people’s achievement and development.
